Why BlackRide exists.
There are thousands of professional drivers across the GTA who have served their communities for decades. Experienced. Reliable. Proud of their work. But the rise of gig economy platforms left many of them behind — unable to compete, uncertain about their future, and struggling to put food on the table for their families.
I started BlackRide because I felt that pain personally. As a driver-founder, I understand what it means to do hard work and still feel financially uncertain. I understand the anxiety of not knowing if tomorrow's income will cover this month's bills. And I knew that the problem wasn't the drivers — it was the lack of tools to help them succeed in a modern world.
BlackRide is my answer to that problem. A platform that puts professional drivers at the centre — giving them the technology, the bookings, and the fair pay they deserve. And on the other side, giving GTA professionals a ride they can actually count on.
