What data we collect

BlackRide may collect the following categories of information when you book, ride, or communicate with us:

• Identity & contact — name, email address, and phone number you provide at registration, checkout, or in your profile.
• Trip & location — pickup and drop-off addresses or place names, scheduled pickup time, route-related details used for pricing and dispatch, and operational updates while a trip is active.
• Payment information — when you pay by card, payment data is handled by our payment processor (Stripe); BlackRide stores payment status and references needed for receipts and support, not full card numbers on our servers.
• Communications & support — messages you send us, notification preferences, and metadata needed to deliver email or SMS related to your booking.

How we use your data

BlackRide uses personal information to:

• Booking fulfillment — create and manage reservations, confirm pricing, and keep an accurate record of your trip.
• Driver dispatch — assign chauffeurs, share necessary trip details with the assigned driver and dispatch staff, and coordinate pickup and drop-off.
• Notifications — send transactional email and SMS (for example booking confirmations, assignment updates, and payment outcomes) in line with your booking.
• Invoices & receipts — generate trip documentation and payment records for customers and accounting.
• Safety & operations — investigate incidents, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable law when required.

Who we share data with

BlackRide shares personal data with service providers that perform functions on our behalf. These may include:

• Stripe — card payments, fraud prevention, and related payment events.
• Twilio — SMS (for example driver authentication or trip notifications where enabled).
• Resend — transactional email delivery to addresses you provide.
• Google — mapping, geocoding, and route-related services used to estimate distance and duration for pricing and trip coordination.

We do not sell your personal information. Processors are instructed to use data only to provide services to BlackRide and in accordance with their own privacy terms and applicable law.

Data retention & deletion

BlackRide retains booking, payment, and account records for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When retention periods end, we delete or de-identify information where feasible.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal data where applicable law allows. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
